Seriously, those who get on this forum and talk about how our offense sucks, our season is almost over, and how we cant do anything against good teams needs to just stop posting. Our offense runs about 5 plays: toss, sweep, mid, veer and counter. And in those 5 plays we can run them about 25 different ways. We have done a few screens and halfback passes. We also have tons of pass plays. Stop crying about how we need to change. It works, it worked last year. The kids this year are no different. Some even helped get us all the way to semi state. If you like teams who use different offenses go watch mitchell. They dont stick to an offense, they use everyone in the book. I believe we stick to this offense because it works. If you stop the inside, they go to veer and sweep. You stop the outside and they run it down your throats. Im just tired of hearing that our offense is not that great. We have done it for how long now? The kids have shown they can run the offense. Up until perry faced us, no one scored a single rushing touchdown against them. We had more offense then they did. Like someone said earlier, if we had this record a few years ago, we would of been dancing in the streets.

Look, i dont want to argue with anyone over this. That is childish. I guess we will have to agree to disagree. From where i sit and watch the game, and i have watched them for years, our offense to me is very predictable. That is proven when we actually play against good football teams. It work like a champ against Valley and CC and other teams of that calibur. I just think and believe that in order to beat quality teams, you must be versitle. And that does not mean 5 different running plays from the same set. That means showing different looks to keep the defense off balance. There is a reason that pro and college teams show many formations. It's not for looks.

And to address your point about having this record a few years ago. You are dead right about that, i agree 100%. Now, we have moved away from that and become a respectable program. But are we satisfied with that? Look, the coaches and kids do a phenominal job. But the goal NOW should be, we have come from the bottom to respectable. Now lets become a great program. To be great you must consistantly beat other good to great teams. I'm just not sure we can get there running this system. I really hope i am proven wrong because i don't see the system changing. Regardless, i will be there supporting every Friday night.

Thanks for your honest viewpoint. This is exactly what I have been saying. Other Rams fans thought I was being negative, but I wasn't. Again, to be good and be respected means you beef up your schedule and don't be afraid to play teams who might be better than you. Ask anyone outside this area and they will laugh at you if you say your team is the Rams. In all honesty, we do play a very light schedule and if we're guaranteed of a good record, just keep on playing who we play. I'll make one other point, good opposing coaches can point out very quickly the weaknesses of their opponents. Don't think for a minute Brownstown doesn't know we don't have a passing game. So, Coach B., don't try and be a passing team at the end of the season. We should have been working on this long before now. Maybe your thinking goes back to your assistant coaching days at Jasper, where they are not known as a passing team.

The thing that made me angry was the second half against Mitchell it looked as if our offense play calling wise just gave up and ran plays to just get the game over with...and the team you are facing is tryin all the plays they can think of to beat you...it just too me brings back the bad memories of the 28 out of 30 games they lost back not too long ago...it's easy to throw when you are up 20-40 points but let's see it when the pressure is on and you are behind will you become the Eric Crouch Nebraska team of 2000 or will you become "The Greatest Show On Turf"?
