I’m afraid that we have got off on the wrong foot. I saw you guys running down MY TEAM (I have lived here all my life and played here in school and although I’m getting older there is a piece of my soul on that field and when those kids and coaches take the field I’m right there with them, and I know many more people like me, when you put them down you put us down, and we’re not going to take it.) and that ticks me off. I thought that you just needed more information but that was not enough so here is the deal. What does it take to win football games Attitude, Commitment, Effort, and talent? Many times we cannot control the latter, the rest we can. This is where you all come in. I’m a teenage boy on the team and I take the field. I’m excited and nervous this is a good team and I’m not sure. Coach B says if I do my job and beat the crap out of the kid across from me we will have a chance to WIN. 1st quarter not too bad they are fast and hit hard but I’m O.K. 2nd Starting to get tired, but I’ll keep going 3rd really sore thinking about giving up, but coach is keeping me pushing on. 4th really tired and sore would like to quit, but what about the team and coach. But you know I did read on the forum that this team is good, and those guys on there said our O and D won’t work and we can’t win. I think I’ll just quit won’t be my fault it will be the coaches fault or maybe the officials or who ever else they said was the problem. GOOD JOB guy’s you just cost us a State Title just by running your mouth.
Fact is each time you pick at our coaches that is doubt you instill in our team, you’re giving them a reason to quit. Sometimes a reason is all it takes, their just kids. If we want to have a good team the kids must all be sold on what we are doing, and where we are going. I thought I’d leave you all with a quote “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt”. However the advice your grandma gave you seems more fitting. If you don’t have anything nice to say (about the team) then don’t say anything at all. Go Rams Win State 2011

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. My comments are in NO WAY intended for any player on this team. If you interpreted it that way, your way off based. If you want to be positive, don't use the term "beat the crap". Any player who goes into a game with this mentality has the wrong attitude. Just "do your job" and things will take are of itself. Maybe Coach B may want this type of attitude, but I don't. I'm not saying that he does, since you're the one making this statement. Let's all back our team and be positive. It's just a game, not your life.

To clear it up beat them up does not refer to a fist fight or the score it means to hit them every single play and break their will that is what football is a game of physicality. The guy across from you should take a beating every play, thats how you win games. If you don't like that you should take up tennis. GO RAMS
p.s. You talked about Mo going to the Dome, don't forget Brian went when coaching jaspers D 2001. Both good coachs, should be a Great Game!!!

I've seen some dirty players in a football game who have injured other players because of that "beat the crap" mentality. As for coaches, we can all decide who the upperechelon coaches are. Coach B went to the Dome under Coach Brewer. Coach Mo went to state championships as a HEAD COACH, not as an assistant.

ok guys ... I'm a little sad to see things get this heated. I appreciate a good spirited debate as much as anyone. Football always seems to bring out the debater in all of us... just listen to sports radio during football season. I'm sure I would probably know most of everyone on this forum aside from the ones I already know, and we really need to remember what this is all about. It's about building character and developing adults... in fact I believe that is how sports is beneficial to all involved.

I will be the first to admit that I'm not good at all on the X's and O's of football, but I do love the game... and I love our Rams. In fact I loved 'em during our losing streak. But the fact remains that since Coach B has arrived, we have seen one of the more dramatic turnarounds in our schools history. These "cupcakes" we beat now were kicking our butts not that long ago. I for one am glad that Coach B has invested his life into this program. He could have easily decided to move Brett to another school before his high school years and used us as a stepping stone like coaches in all sports have done in the past, but he didn't.

Now there are times of course that I think to myself ... "Man, we should have passed there, or why didn't we run a counter there? or what was he thinking?", but it is that way in every level of sports.

Coach B has decided this is the offense that works for a school our size and the kids believe in it. Look at the numbers compared to the total of 26 in his first year.

I hope everyone rallies behind these kids and the kids in the years to come. I for one am proud of what these kids and the kids before them have accomplished and what the coaches have accomplished as well.

I hope we can all sit and stand there tonight and root for our kids and our grandkids and our nephews and brothers... because these days in a community our size, we can use all we can to feel good about ourselves and to feel pride in something.

Before you think I'm doing the "can't we all get along" speech, I'm not. Again, I love a good debate. The one thing I try to remember when posting on any forum is the person that may have made you upset or you may be uspsetting could be closer to you than you think...:)

Just to get commonsense on the same page..I love Paoli football, played there myself. Don't miss a game anywhere. can't wait for Friday nights. Support the staff and the accompolishments they have made, and they have been quite impressive. However, ( my opinion )I don't believe that we can beat the really good teams in our division running our offense. I think we have lost some games we could have won unilizing our talent in a different way.We just don't have big enough horses the run the ball down the throat of good teams. Once again, my opinion. I have never in a public forum, criticized any player on this team.

clear it up once more,no one is condoning dirty play nor was mention of that being made. now body looks for a kid to get injured that would be tragic, however as stated before football is physical, the best teams are the most physical teams day in and day out period. Shizz, you are really reaching and twisting on this one. Realistic, our team is every single person on our sidelines on friday night from coach B down to the water boy. When you talk about one you talk about them all, thats what a winning team is. Enough said. Lets talk football, looks like rain, may be good for us, Not sure but should at least slow down the passing game that Salems coach will most likely run. GO RAMS LETS GET IN DONE!!!!!
