Ok from the rumor mill I hear that Brett Balsmeyer will be the starting Quarterback with Lee Wroblewski at Slotback and Tanner Wroblewski and Aaron Key as Wide Recievers/Split Ends....AND is it the end of the "Flex Coast Offense" Or is it more of an wide open offense? anyway just trying to get some discussing started heading into football season

I will be shocked if Lee does not start at QB.

well, call me shocked but not surprised. Looks like the coaches son will be starting at QB. All kinds of depth at the slot position so lets take our best QB and put him at slot so we can start a soph. at QB. I'm gonna try to stay positive, but i just wonder. If this kid had a different last name would he start at QB? If the answer is yes, then I'm more than fine with it. I do have my doubts about that though.

It should be interesting on what offense they will run because if it gets like last year and becomes "we can beat anybody by running it...no need to pass" then the further we go the tougher it will get

I agree with you 100% and hate to inform you but i would bet on seeing the exact same as previous years based on the scrimmage I saw. I don't see us being exposed against the majority of our schedule, but the better teams will for sure cause us serious problems.

Well there goes my thought of this team being the next version of the "Greatest Show In Turf" Rams...Bust Out The Ol' 1961 Green Bay Packers Paul Hornung Single Wing offense then

Well, now I'm hearing that who I assumed based on the scrimmage starting at QB may not be afterall. Not that he's a bad player, as a matter of fact, for his age he is very good. But with the upper classman possibly starting, we may be a proned to throw the ball a little bit more. we sure have the receivers to get downfield and catch the ball over people. I just hope we utilize it in normal situations versus when we have to and everyone in the stands know were gonna throw it.

I am pretty sure Brett was the quarterback this summer in the 7 0n 7 camp we went to. And I am pretty sure that we were very successful at this camp, going 4 and 1. We beat some 5A and 4A schools and a good 2A school known for what??? It's passing! As for the scrimmage we never show a whole lot here. It isn't anything but a practice where you get to hit other people. Forrest Park plays primarily their starting units while we mix in a lot of young guys. Looks like another year of people talking crap on here that dont really have a clue! I do like reading this and making fun of you though, so for that I thank you!

Brett is a very good qb and and will only be better next year butt if u think he is better than lee for the job this year it is obvious who don't know what they are talking about.Either one would do a great job butt with Lee's. Maturity and speed and stronger arm I think he is the best choice this year.

Somehow this conversation has turned into a NY Jets Tim Tebow vs. Mark Sanchez type debate over Balmeyer and Wroblewski....and i'm still waiting on who you said knows nothing?

ANYONE that thinks Brett is a better QB than Lee dont know what they are talking about. Brett is very good and will only get better, but at this stage in their career, its not really even close. My original point is this. since we are loaded with guys that can run the ball, why not play your best QB at QB? Simple question.

Realistic, how do you personally know that Lee is better at QB than Brett? I think that the coaches in whatever decision they make will do what is best for the team. How many varsity starts does Lee have at QB? How many does Brett have? My point here is that the coaches have seen these kids in action way more than any of us. I am not saying that Lee wouldn't be the best choice here but my point is the coaches are the coaches for a reason. They know football! As far as you go Shizz, just because you Google Football doesn't mean you know anything about it. So for you to chime in and say what we should be doing during the games is like me trying to tell a doctor how he should complete this operation. It is ok to ask questions about certain situations but don't pretend to know what is the best for this team over the coaches. Makes you look like a fool. GO RAMS!!

Monrovia: 4-10 att. 36 yds.
Evansville North 1-8 att. -6 yds.
Corydon 6-7 att. 16 yds.

His point is, you have to be able to pass the ball against good teams. being 1 dimensional will ot get it done unless you are overpowering the Salems and Valleys. Pretty sure about all of the games referenced by Shizz ended up being a loss. And your right about 1 thing, I am not a coach and dont know as much about our players as the staff. But I am confident in my knowledge of being able to spot talent. We will do fine this year. We will have an impressive record once again. We will for the most part, dominate our conference. I would just like to see this bunch of kids turned loose and see how far their talent can take us. We have so many weapons, just hope we use them all.

Before I start I just want to say that if the coaches decide to start Lee at QB then I think it is a great idea. If not then guess what... that is a great idea too. The argument that I make about this whole convo is that the coaches are the experts here not us. We can only make assumptions and guesses about what we think will work best. Our body of research is minimal compared to that of our coaches. And for us to set here and critisize their decisions is... for lack of a better word, DUMB! The argument that Lee is the best QB option here is based on what? How many reps does he have at the varsity level? DO you have to be a tremendous physical specimen to play QB? I think not... ask Peyton Manning. Go RAMS!!!!

I just don't wanna see those type of passing stats when you have a 6'5" reciever 6'2" reciever and 6'3" reciever...
