Well it's now time to reflect on the seaosn that was and unlike recent years you can reflect with some happiness...The Rams' season started out solid with a long winning streak a state ranking to #4 everything was rolling until the loss to Orleans which sent them on a slide for a few games which saw the Rams recover and make their way to another Sectional Championship and another Elite Eight appearence...this team caught me by surprise I thought they would be the small littel underdog team that uses maotion and cuts and screen and rolls and shuffle cuts etc. but they stuck to their guns and ran a spread out 4 corner kinda offense based on out shooting and scoring their oppoennets in a way I think at the end of the season ut came back and bit them in the ass...as far as individual performances Laswell was what I would call the heart of the opffense and defense the only one who would consistently drive the lane and crash the offensive boards etc. in the next 2 years he could develop into somethin real good...Kee wentr from a uy who dribbled a little to a lot which would have really helped him if they can an offense where he could've taken more chances to the lane he was shooting the 3 good all year until the last game when he was firing up shits to get back into the game...Warner was a player who could've done so much for the team but did in his own way but not the way he could've been great if he drives the lane more and puts up more shots iun the lanwe or layups would've opnened up more for the other scorers...Goodman who started most the season had all the potential as a smallish post guy that if he was given a few years could be great just not ewnough time to transfer him into a great post player did good all year would've just liked someone to have given him the knowldege on how to play his poisition would've been great if he was taught all the right ways...Drew White a player who has the potential to be great but he's missing goid given gifts in speed and ball quickness etc. if he would've laid off of the forced shots like he did in the sectional and up until the regional finals he can be great it's when he gets into the rifleman personality that gets hiom and the team in trouble all year if he would've went onto a game with the "i've got to find a way to score" instead of "i'm the star i need to score" might have helped in more situations instad of forcing a Jordan esque fadeaway or shooting a 3 in transition or after one pass if he owuld've took his time and attacked the basket to at least go to the free throw line more or get layups more success would've fpllowed him...anyway finishing with 20 eins is nothin to be ashanmed about nothing to feel bad about...you're one of a few teams this decade to say you had a 20 win season...10 or so years down the road you can go into the cafeteria look up at the big picture imn the wall and tell stories about that season...you always have to remember you were one of the final 8 team in 2A..only 4 teams are better than you it's a prretty good feeling once you sit and think back about it....anyway enough of the ood stuff...i'm out.....
