John, no offense but if this is the plan, then you are planning to fail.

The weather forecast calls for Thunderstorms Thursday and Friday. Now in addition to the all day rain we had today, that pretty much would guarantee a cancellation of this tournament.

Why not just move this entire tournament to Monday?

A-it is supposed to be nice all weekend and fields could dry-up.

B-Dan is considering moving the Men's tournament to next week, so if they can do it why not us?

C-I understand the water will be turned off so I can tell all my players to go poddy before they report to the games.

D-If they can still play the "Snowball" tournament next week...Why not let us actually finish ours?

Now, I know and appreciate all you guys do...and hopefully things would work out if you left it this way...But I just think this is aplan that is doomed from the beginning...and could be easily avoided.

It's just my opinion. Thanks to you and Dan for all you do.

This is how things get started. I specifically said in my post "we'll see if they will let us try it the following week.". This was after saying that the park district wants us done this week. That is a LONG way off from saying "Dan is considering moving the Men's tournament to next week".

i'm not considering anything right now. Just trying to throw hope out there but I dont' think it'll happen. They're going to be doing field work next week on the grass and I don't think they want people on it the nights after doing it. The tournament won't affect that.

Today's weather Forecast from WSIL Weather Guru Jim Rasor:

Forecast Headlines
Heavy rain and the potential for flash flooding is the biggest concern over the course of Thursday and Friday. Rainfall totals should top the several inches mark. A flash flood watch is in effect for the entire region Thursday evening through Friday. Dry weather is expected next week.

But i think you misunderstood. It's slowpitch softball. This is serious business. Those jerks who play on Joe Bob's Stump Removal have been runnin their mouth at the gas station all year long and I need to put them in their place! If they won't let us play and exact my revenge, then what am I going to do all winter? Forget about it? I THINK NOT!!!
