Veteran bats lead Orca to victory.
Reed Aljian ties the game at 5-5 in the 7th with a big 2-out single, Nick Manning puts the game away with an 8th inning 2-run double, and Brad Winkeljohn had 3 hits and 3 RBI's on the day to lead the Orca with veteran players doing what they have been doing for years. The Orca overcame 5 errors, as Reed Aljian hurled 3 1/3 of shutout ball and David Murray came in to record the last 3 outs in the 9th to preserve the victory.
Pirates pitcher Alec Johnson did what he could, hurling a complete game, but the Pirates could not get the knockout hit when they had the chances. Both teams played a hard, tough game. And a "heal up soon" to Mylan Stepanovich who may have broken his thumb on a dive on the infield.
