Rich Fallat & Mike Cahill leads Red Sox to victory.
Red Sox starting pitcher Rich Fallat pitched well (allowed 3 runs), but was being bested by hard-throwing Pelican Mark Abramowicz thru 5 1/2 at 3-1. But in the bottom of the 6th, the first 2 batters reached and the Pelicans brought in ace Matt Garner. After some hits, and two big errors, the Red Sox ended up scoring 6 runs in the 6th to take a big 7-3 lead. Of course the tough Pelicans came back with 2 runs in the top of the 7th, keyed by a David Treat double (1 of his 2). But Fallat drove home 2 big insurance runs in the bottom of the 7th, and Mike Cahill finished up by throwing scoreless 8th & 9th innings to preserve the victory.
