Thorne leads Cats
The Tigers knew going into their first round playoff game that they'd need to find a way to shut down the Lightning who score runs in bunches. So they turned to Rich Thorne and he delivered, throwing a masterful game with 9 strikeouts.
The offense helped too, particular standouts included Randy Garza, who blasted a fastball onto Temple in the fifth, Jeremy Hartman with a 4 for 4 day, and Mike Chukerman who also had a perfect day day at the plate, reaching base all 5 times with 2 hits and 3 walks.
Tigers Tip 'O' the Cap to the Lightning who played hard and clean the whole game despite falling behind early. They're going to be a team to be reckoned with in 2017.
