Red Sox score 3 in the 9th to walk off the win.
In a see-saw affair, the Red Sox scored 3 in the bottom of the 9th to walk off on a very good Sea Dogs team.
The Sox scored first in the 2nd as Michael Rosenblum doubled, then went to 3rd on a single by Dave Becker who then stole 2nd and Rosenblum scored on the throw that went into CF. The Sea Dogs came back with a pair of runs in the 3rd, as Dannell Bryant reached on a FC, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on a single by Lance Hollandsworth and then Jake Greiner doubled in a run and Oliver Collette singled in one. The Dogs took a 3-1 lead in the 5th as Peter Walsh singled, and then Matthew Polites hit into a FC but promptly stole 2nd and scored on a Bryant single. For the Dogs, Oliver Collette was dealing, as the Red Sox could only score the 1 run after 8 innings. For the Red Sox, reliever Rich Fallat was doing his part and holding the Sea Dogs in check. Fastforward to the bottom of the 9th .... Sea Dogs 3 - Red Sox 1. Chris Healey leads off with a walk, Roberto Torres singles Healey to 3rd, after an out, Ethan Wolferman singles in a run to make it 3-2. Rosenblum comes to the plate and hits a roller which not fielded for an error. Becker follows with a single to tie the game at 3-3, and Nick Haley follows with the game winner .... 4-3 Red Sox. For the Sea Dogs, Chris Dominiak led the way with a 3-hit day, including 2 doubles.
