Down 5-3 in the bottom of the 9th, the Red Sox scored 3 to get the walkoff victory. Dave White was HBP, went to second on a ground out, Ethan Wolferman followed with a swinging bunt single, Rich Fallat reached on an error to load the bases. This brought up Bob Affrunti who singled in a run to close the gap to 5-4, and then Roberto Torres hit a hard ground ball up the middle for a walkoff 2-run single. Kaz Arakawa the Red Sox starter threw 7 strong innings, allowing only 2 earned runs, and for the Bulls, Alex Smith went all the way and pitched better than the result.
