Cardinals shutout Newville 5-0 to sweep doubleheader
Josh Herring got things started in the first with a single. Teed Wertz sacrificed him to second. Herring scored on a single by Jon Mayer. Herring scored again in the 5th when Zeb Stough singled him home. Maika Niu doubled with the bases loaded and two outs in the 7th to plate 3 more runs. Beck Way pitched 5 2/3 innings for the win. He struck out 11 without giving a hit. He walked 2. Justin Charles pitched the final 2 1/3 innings for his first save. He struck out 7 against 1 hit.
