Two Pitchers Team Up As Plainfield Tornadoes 10u Defeats IRO
Plainfield Tornadoes 10u defeated IRONMEN Prime 10U 10-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Drew L induced a groundout from Jeter C to finish off the game.
Plainfield Tornadoes 10u secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the first inning. Brady R, Sam B, Drew, and Sammy B each drove in runs during the inning.
Plainfield Tornadoes 10u got things moving in the first inning. Brady doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
One bright spot for IRONMEN Prime 10U was a single by Jaylen G in the second inning.
Chase H got the win for Plainfield Tornadoes 10u. He allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. Drew threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Lex R toed the rubber for IRONMEN Prime 10U. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out one. Bige A threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Sammy led Plainfield Tornadoes 10u with two hits in two at bats. Plainfield Tornadoes 10u stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Johnny M led the way with three.
