Wahoos take early 6-0 lead and seal win with 5 in 7th
The Blue Wahoos opened the scoring with a Tracy Fuller 3-run double in the top of the 1st, then added 3 more in the 2nd with the help of an untimely Expos error. The Expos starting chipping away with single runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th to close the gap to 6-3, but would get no closer. A 2-out, 5-run rally by the Wahoos in the top of the 7th was the final scoring of the game. Mike Bond and Randy Pepo of the Wahoos both had a trio of singles to lead all hitters. Eichelberger, Fuller and Rexroth added 2 hits a piece to the Wahoos 16-hit attack. Phil Polakoff closed out the game with 3 perfect innings for the save.
