Wolverine wins 2nd game of evening vs.Toivola

After finishing up a rain suspended game with an 8-4 win, Wolverine defeated Toivola again in the 2nd game of the evening 6-5. Wolverine jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the 1st inning and maintained the lead until the bottom of the 5th when Toivola scored three runs to take their first lead of the evening. The lead was short-lived as the visiting Wolverine team scored two in the 6th to knot the score and added a run in the 7th for the win. Mike Saari picked up the win in relief of Luke Paul. Saari had 3 hits for the winners and Paul and Darren Bausano each had 2. Andy Buchanan had 3 hits for Toivola and was a home-run away from hitting for the cyle. Jordan Janowiak had 2 hits and was the losing pitcher in relief of Will Williams. Wolverine moves into sole possession of 2nd place with the win and their next game is next Thursday versus league-leading Blue Sky in Dollar Bay.
