Palm Coast Falls to the Sharks
Ponte Vedra led from start to finish to win their second straight game of the season with an impressive 61-51 road win against a veteran Palm Coast team. JT Kelly gave his best 6th man impression by netting a career high 20 points to lead the Sharks. Oddly enough, although Kelly missed on all 3 of his 2 point attempts, the 6'2 junior was a perfect 5-5 on his 3 pointers. The Sharks welcomed back Alex Madson to the lineup after suffering a football injury 6 weeks earlier. Alex scored 9 of his 10 points in the second half, including a 3 pointer at the 3rd quarter buzzer after the hosts closed to within a point. Luke Perris continued his steady performance with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to fill out the stat sheet for the winners. Palm Coast closed to within two points of the Sharks with 4 minutes remaining in the contest before the Sharks closed out the contest with a 13-5 run. The Sharks return to action Thursday when they travel to Menendez for a 7:30 scheduled start.
