Sharks win low scoring game with St. Joe In by far the lowest scoring game in Ponte Vedra's 11th year of varsity basketball, the Sharks escaped St. Joseph with a 29-21 victory. The previous low point total was last years contest with Creekside when both teams combined for 59 points. The good news for Shark fans, PVHS won both games! It wasn't until the fourth quarter before the Sharks were able to finally pull away from the fired up Flashes when they out scored the hosts 10-3 to earn their 6th straight victory on the season, the best start in PVHS history. Junior Luke Perris scored 7 of his game high 10 points in the pivotal final quarter to pace the Sharks in scoring. Although he failed to score a point, Will Irwin came off the bench to give the Sharks a real spark in the 4th quarter by contributing an assist, block and a pair of defensive rebounds. Jack Polian, also scoreless was the leading rebounder for the winners with 6 rebounds while Rory Meyer pulled down 5 boards. Nate Bunkowsy was a force on defense as he came up with 6 steals.
