Second day action opened early in the morning on Sunday with temperatures hovering around thirty-eight degrees under sunny, calm conditions. Despite some excellent first half play, two back-to-back second half goals yielded a 3-0 win for Albertson in this third and final group play matchup.

Scoring opened in the twenty-seventh minute as a well struck ball from Albertson hit the left post and caromed into the net. Commack generated three quality chances in the first half that were turned back.

Albertson broke the contest open with their high powered offense on goals in the fifteenth and seventeenth minutes of the second half. Balls were taken from the central midfield in both cases and powerfully brought up field to challenge the defensive formations. Commack had two great chances in the closing twenty minutes to narrow the gap as Ashley struck a crossbar from fifteen yards and Kiersten just missed a toe poke opportunity in the closing minutes. Defensively, the team did exceptionally well to contain the Albertson attack. Defensive marking by Meghan, Jen, Liz, and Ashley was particularly strong in the first half in front of Sara. That team was augmented at times by Brooke and others as the game moved forward.

Approximately twenty coaches were at this match and the list included several names from day one in addition to SUNY/Cortland, Adelphi, Hofstra, NYU, LIU, and Sacred Heart.
