Game two from the 2008 National Women's Elite Soccer Showcase saw the Commack Blasters hosting the FC Stars of Massachusetts under the lights on the Mitchel Field turf. The top ranked Massachusetts team is tenth in the region and showed their Region One Premier League form topping the Blasters, 7-0, under cold conditions for this Saturday night event.

Despite allowing two goals in the first twenty minutes, the Blasters responded to play a more balanced attack in the second twenty minutes of the first half. Kiersten had the best chance of the first half as she struck a crossbar at the twenty minute mark. Second half action saw FC Stars break down the defense while Commack was consistently having passes cut off when lanes appeared to be available.

Coaches attending this match included Fairfield, Oswego, Geneseo, Lehigh, Marist, Bryant, Farmingdale, Northeastern and Sacred Heart.
