I told everyone after the playoff loss that we would have a game wednesday night because Hockeytown are a bunch of cheap fucks. Now we have only 3 defenseman tonight and between the 3 of the them, Duke has the most playing time in the last 3 months. I know we are playing a really bad team and Jeff is filling in tonight but we still could end up only having 8 guys and a goalie tonight. Do I really have to ask Ray to play tonight? And Why haven't me or Nick haven't heard from Joe yet? If we lose tonight I'm droping the team. Fuck it! |

Nick "The Stiff" Johnson was sick to his stomach because Section 8 was all over them but could not score! The BRD will be playing at 9pm tommorow night on the inside rink against The Lepera Bros. We will be down D'Amico who retired. Ray Dow(injurys) and Bobby Haas(playing Basketball) are taking the summer off! Tim is working wednesday. The Stiff is taking the week off! Steve is out for a month with a injury! The BRD will like to welcome back Dino and Paul! Jeff(The Whalers) will be filling in for Nick on Wednesday! |

I was in Dunkin Donuts today and kid with a Blueroom Devils replica jersey with 'Haas' printed on the back came up to me. He told me he was my biggest fan so I signed a few things for him including a Boston Cream donut. He then asked me if I was coming back next season and the entire place became silent. Customers put their coffees down, Workers stopped taking orders and put their headsets down, Munchkins fell to the floor...you could hear a pin drop. I told the kid that I had a great run, but this season I would not be part of the team. I have been trying for a few years to get into a basketball league. On Saturday, I ran through a brief but grueling tryout with the team and immediately after that I was offered a one-year deal with the team. The squad that I signed with plays in the D-2 Cambridge basketball league on Wednesday nights starting this week. So the next time you guys see me in a Blueroom Devils jersey (new jerseys?) will be at the Maryland tournament. I am done for the summer season. I am not sure if this is the end of my hockey career or not, but if it is I just want to say that I had a lot of fun playing and hanging out with you guys. I have a lot of great memories from street hockey and from playing with you all. Good luck this season and I will see you soon. |
