WestPalmBeach July 6, 2023 12:04:31 PM Entry ID: 2365057 | Running with fast lane over the past 14.5 years has been the best roller-coaster of experiences an athlete can ask for. I have created the best friends ships whilst on the team and created memories I’ll be able to cherish for a lifetime. Being able to be coached by my God father was one of the hardest things because he would love to push me, as well as the other athletes, to do what we felt like we couldn’t. Though he is very important in my life, the other amazing coaches has impacted my life just as much. I will never forget Coach Robison’s favorite line to say after a hard workout: “We are doing what your competitors are NOT doing.” As tiring as it was to listen to, it was still my favorite thing to hear being the fact that he just wanted us to train to the best of our abilities. Coach Ice, one of the toughest coaches I’ve ever worked with, is the reason I stopped being afraid of running with people who may be stronger than I am. She made sure to run with all the athletes to give them the physical and mental push they needed - even though everyone got a little wobbly in the knees when it came time to run a set with her. All in all, the team it’s self is the best I’ve ever got to work with and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. |

From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported by everyone on the team. My coaches were always there to help me improve my form, speed, and endurance, and my teammates were always there to cheer me on and push me to do my best. One of the most significant ways that my coaches and teammates impacted me was by helping me develop a strong work ethic. I learned that if I wanted to improve my performance, I had to put in the time and effort to train consistently and push myself to my limits. My coaches were always there to encourage me and provide guidance, and my teammates were always there to hold me accountable and motivate me to keep going. Through my experiences with Fast Lane, I also learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Although track is an individual sport, I quickly realized that I couldn't succeed on my own. I needed my coaches and teammates to help me train, provide feedback, and support me during competitions. I learned to trust my teammates and rely on them when I needed help, and I also learned to be there for them when they needed me. Another way that my coaches and teammates impacted me was by helping me develop my confidence and self-esteem. Before joining the track club, I was often self-conscious and unsure of myself. But through the support and encouragement of my coaches and teammates, I learned to believe in myself and my abilities. I learned that I was capable of achieving great things if I put in the effort and had the right mindset. Finally, my coaches and teammates helped me develop a love for the sport of track and field. Through Fast Lane, I discovered a passion for running and competing. I loved the feeling of pushing myself to my limits and seeing the results of my hard work pay off. And I loved the camaraderie and sense of community that I felt with my coaches and teammates. Overall, my experiences with Fast Lane and coaches have had a profound impact on my life. They have helped me develop a strong work ethic, learn the importance of teamwork and collaboration, boost my confidence and self-esteem, and discover a passion for running and competing. I am grateful for the support and encouragement that I have received from my coaches and teammates, and I look forward to continuing to grow as an athlete and share the rest of my athletic experience as a college athlete. |

| KarianaHarrigan July 5, 2023 2:25:29 PM Entry ID: 2365043 | Fast lane has helped me improve so much as a runner coming from Covid I didn’t believe I was gonna get everything back again.To first thank coach walker because I found fast lane and they built me up again as a athlete the workouts coach walker would give really pushed me to better myself ,and to always have coach Robinson on the side of him to tell us how great we are but of course letting us know that it doesn’t come easy and helping us all work hard to be great these two both always let us know that ,coach ice always being their to push us through workouts you wouldn’t even think you could finish and participating with us to show us it’s all possible ,I also love the family aspect this team has brought to me and all the new freinds and coaches I have gotten to meet to help me succeed in my track career and even helping me recognize where I’m talented thank you fast lane for everything |

It's one of the best track teams in the united states for a reason outside of track itself the team is still a family who pray together and support each other in every way. I want to give a big shoutout to Coach Walker. He’s like a second dad to me. He has pushed be to become the best athlete that I am now a soon to become. He has helped me dropped multiple times in my events and has helped me to jump 19 as a pr in the longjump. I want to thank Coach Ice for always making me laugh and helped me to become welcomed on the team. I want to thank Coach Robinson for always giving me and my teammates the best speech. He always makes sure that we all stay positive and that we keep on pushing and believing in ourselves. Lady but not least, I want to thank Coach Barbet for giving us the hardest workouts lol. Coach Barber is such a nice guy. He always makes us laugh and push us in our workouts. Stay positive Coach Barber!! Lastly, I just want to thank my teammates for always being my family and pushing eachother to become better athletes everyday at practice. I wouldn’t ask for a better team or coaches. |

I feel like i have grown so much already from day 1 of practice to today and it only gets better from here. Coach Walker is an amazing coach who only wants the best for every single one of his athletes and will make sure you get to where you want to be. The team is so welcoming and it already feels like family. I can't wait to see what's in store for all of us. I really do appreciate the hard work Coach puts in everyday just to see us get better! It's all out of love. Wouldn't trade this for anythinggg. |
