Coach Vucan and all the Courgar Varsity should be walking a little taller this week. The tradition of Dominating Lubbock Schools in the Playoffs by Franklin is making the people at Monterey and Coronado crazy. I know the confidence that the Cougars have will help them go deep into the playoffs. Keep up the MO! Ed and Priscilla

Great game against Socorro, that's baseball. The overall performance of the team was super. The determination and focus the players showed what Franklin Baseball is all about. Continued success throughout the season. Great job by Josh Blanco and JP Haskins.

Coach: Greetings from FOB Patriot. Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity teams for a great tournament performance! Keep up the great work that your coaches and you are doing! I really like FHS baseball webpage-great stuff which keeps me up to date. As you can imagine, I miss cheering for our Courgars, eating sunflower seeds and cornnuts, chatting it up with the parents and, of course, taking pictures. I look forward to the next game! Thanks to Coach Hernandez for his wise words to our Cougars. Congratulations to our JV team - They did a great job this past tournament. Way to beat the Bulldogs and not get intimidated!!! Keep up the hard work and stay focused!! You're awesome. Special mention (of course) of OP #1 who hit a double an a triple against the Bulldogs and was great defensively behind the plate. To the Varsity team: Guys don't let them "dogs" get to you. Stay focused and don't let their trash talk get to you. You guys have A LOT OF TALENT. Don't let them mess with your heads. GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!!! Cely Payan OP's Mom

It's a Great Time to be a Franklin Cougar. Stay strong and focused in the classroom and at the "yard". You have been Blessed with athletic gifts and skills and families who have sacrificed to nourish and nurture your hopes and dreams. Its time to look within and decide to give more, work harder and focus longer. There is still plenty to accomplish. Make sure this chapter in your baseball journey reads the way you want. If not you, then who, if not now, then when. "Game Time" must reflect all the sacrifice and commitment that you have poured into the past 4 years during the offseason and season. Its heartwarming to "remember when" but its important to "play now". The entire Cougar Baseball Squad is a class act starting with Coach Larry Vucan. "Its Cougar Baseball Time".
