Hats off to the players for never giving up, behind the whole game, down 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th bases loaded, two outs, an awesome pitching performance from Matt D, for keeping the Kips Bay Grays Big Guns off balance, after a rough start in the 1st inning - a towering HR in the 3rd from Billy Mc(with the wood, his 2nd in the Tourney)and for the big hits when we needed them from Matt,Dom and Nick and to all the other boys that made this possible. Lets not forget the well pitched games leading up to the SHIP timely hitting, great defensive plays, diving catches and a whole lot more, this tourney was one that I will never forget, hard work and playing as a team is the key to success, you all certainly make me proud to coach this team. |

| Frankie ( the DAD ) bellmore October 9, 2007 7:23:06 PM Entry ID: 1227138 | the only way i can describe you guys is UNBELIEVABLE. that was a great team you beat yesterday.they were older stronger and a hardhitting team. there was no FEAR at anytime and thats what makes you guys SPECIAL.timely hitting and running and a great pitching performance that held that team to 4 runs. you played like champions and earned the right to be champions again.we as parents love to watch you play this game. As for the coaches, TOM and JEFF, you see things in a game that no other coaches see and that makes the two of you the best at what you do.our kids can learn more in one game from the 2 of you than they can in 1 year with anybody else.In my opinion I think you 2 are second to none and i would reccomend anybody that wanted to learn this game to see you first. On a personal note I am proud of the way my son played defense and can't wait for him to break out on the offensive side.I am proud that in whatever way he can contribute to the team to help them win more CHAMPIONSHIPS. | Coach October 5, 2007 8:38:42 AM Entry ID: 1223636 | We coach for the love of the game, the passion we have to teach and develope the kids, or else we wouldn't be here,we have coached for the past 6 years with the goal of making the boys better ball players, trying to steer them in the right direction, always striving to be the best we can, to play at the highest level and challenge the boys to compete with the best teams around and we did, when it came to development and training we practiced as much as we could, we worked with individual players, one on one, unfortunately there are a few rotten apples that only care about them selves and are not team players,they are sadly mistaken we will always play ball,and be a competitive team,and for the team players that hang around they will be rewarded, there is a lot of work to be done in the upcoming years,like I always say to my coaches if you are patient enough in life and strive to do what you believe is right, the problems usually take care of themselves and to this point they have. |
