Congratulations Spartans! You boyz have once again amazed me with the vast improvements that have transpired within weeks as a team. So many different ways to score with a variety of different players and not just one; the defense now is superb, everybody playing and knowing their responsibility--and that's TEAM DEFENSE!, But the thing that I really saw this past Saturday [02-17-08]...was the 'unselfishness' that each of you displayed--it didn't matter who scored--those who could have scored twice or even three times during a game--simply passed the ball off--so the other teammate(s) would have the opportunity to score a 'try'--boyz--that's the true spirit of TEAMWORK! And I commend all of you for having this spirit! Great victories (2) yesterday--your TEAM DEFENSE gave up 1 try all day! Great job! Once again...this is only made possible because of the coaching staff...To Edgar, David & Heni...Great Job! And don't you guys worry...recruiting is going strong! God Bless you as a staff, God Bless all of the Spartan Parents...and GOD BLESS OUR BOYZ! SPARTANS YOU TRULY ARE OUR 'TAMA-TOA' [BRAVEHEARTS]! See ya in Santa Monica!

CONGRATS to our MIGHTY SPARTANS on the victories over Fullerton & Long Beach yesterday [2/02/08]. You boyz are just a first year team competing now in the U-12 division [tackle]...and you have shown how 'TOUGH' you all are. The teams you defeated yesterday our 2 of the toughest teams in the division, and both teams have experienced players that have played in this division for at least 1 year now...but you showed everyone yesterday what the second meaning of N.U.T.S. stands for, and it means: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE SPARTANS! FYI the first meaning is: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE SPIRIT [Holy Spirit]...GREAT JOB COACHES...and thank you again for the commitment and sacrifices for our boyz. SPARTANS you truly are in our Samoan culture: 'O TAMA-TOA' God Bless the Spartans and SBYR Foundation!

To the coaching staff..."Malo le Tauivi" and "Kudos" to you all for a great job thus far with our boys. The time and commitment you have sacrificed so our boys can learn not only how to play the game of rugby but how to respect the game goes without saying! Keep up the great work...we support your efforts and especially our 'MIGHTY SPARTANS'...Good luck this coming Saturday!

Great Job to the SYBR Board for a wonderful webpage...and especially for working with our boyz. We are all ready, willing and praying for the entire staff and the boyz for a "successful and productive 2008 season"...Good luck this Saturday... And for those wondering about the acronym N.U.T.S [nuts] well to me it means: Never Underestimate The Spirit! God Bless the Mighty Spartans! Pastor Earle...FCCW!!!

Just wanted to say a special thanks to SBYR Head Coach Edgar for getting us involved with the clinic at Fullerton. It was a great experience and new faces. Both players and parents had a blast!! Thanks to Fullerton Coach Stephen for reminding us to mingle amongst all. We were able to talk, laugh and share our past and future goals. Thanks also to Back Bay Coaches Warren & Jeff! Thanks to Fullerton Youth Rugby for hosting our kids with their meals/snacks! You all did a fantastic job!

Aloha guys, I think this rugby team is going to be a great team. I think it is a great idea to start of a whole different sport in the U.S other than American football and basketball. Who knows, this maybe the boys profession the future. " The next Tana Umaga". LOL Good luck guys and God Bless. Alofa Tele savali

Hi there, Just wanted to stop in and say hello! I was fortunate to learn about your rugby club at a back to school event I attended at a Christian Church in Wilmington (Pastor Enesi). I was glad to find out that your program focuses on teaching youths the game of rugby. I’ve always enjoyed watching rugby better than American football and as a mother of a 7yr old boy, I prefer him to learn / play rugby as opposed to American football. Thanks Jolene & Edgar for the information and encouragement. I look forward to being a part of this new venture. I hope my son will take a genuine interest and liking to this sport but if not that’s ok too. Thank you for the opportunity. Please keep me updated on any important dates. Best regards, Lisa
