ANY DIVISION WITH 10 OR MORE TEAMS WERE SEEDED BASED ON RECORD AND POINTS AGAINST - SOME DIVISIONS PLAYED REG SEASON IN A POOL FORMAT.

Hoops by The Sea: Playoff Game Rules

• 20-MINUTE HALVES *Running Clock

• 3 TIMEOUTS PER GAME

• FREE SUBBING LAST TWO MINUTES OF GAME

• CLOCK STOPS FOR THE LAST TWO MINUTES OF THE GAME FOR FOUL SHOTS

• CLOCK STOPS FOR THE LAST MINUTE OF THE GAME FOR EVERY WHISTLE

• 5 FOULS PER PLAYER

• CAN PLAY WITH 4 PLAYERS - IF BORROWS FROM ANOTHER TEAM *FORFEIT BUT STILL PLAY THE GAME!

* SUBBING: “Every player must sit once before a player sits twice.”

• If you have six players, each player sits a minimum of once time

• If you have seven or more players, every player sits once in a half

• A player shall never sit on the bench for a second time until all players have sat on the bench at least once

• No player shall sit for 10 minutes in a row EVER 

• All subbing happens at the 5-minute marks

Overtime:

• 1 timeout allowed in each overtime, no carryovers!!

• 1st Overtime 3 minutes (clock stops last minute)

• 2nd Overtime 2 minutes (clock stops last minute)

• 3rd Overtime 1 minute (clock stops the whole time)

Oue summer schedule:

• Games are Saturday Afternoon and Evenings 
• Last week of the regular season will be August 2nd
• 1st round of the playoffs will be August 9th and maybe August 10th (all teams make the playoffs)
• Semi-finals August 16th (final 4 teams in each division)
• NIGHT OF THE CHAMPIONS - Sunday August 17th (final 2 teams in each division)
• We play at Christofaro Courts, Boon Street Courts and Wilson Park Courts

Hoops by the Sea is South County's favorite recreational summer basketball league.

We know how busy the summers can be and we know how important it is for families to enjoy summers in South County therefore we pride ourselves in being a league with a one day per week commitment.   

Our league is known for being a league where kids can have fun, improve their skills, play with new and old faces while being guaranteed equal playing time every week they come.
