The WCHL has announced that its first ever free agent camp will be held this September following the conclusion of the Summer Tournament. It is an invite only camp. It will last from September 23rd until September 30th. Cuts will be made every day and SOME of the players still at camp on the last day may be offered a contract from one or more WCHL clubs. It is an open camp.

He played 64 games and scored 44 points last year (-19) with Minnesota before being traded to Redding. He scored 16 points with the Royals (+10) in 20 games. In total he had 60 points in 84 games (-9).

Taylor Frett, left wing, has been added to the Denver Trout roster.

The Puget Sound Snappers are making a real bid to win it all this year, having now signed two top 4 defensemen in Roger Gardner and David Dustin, as well as a middle 6 winger in Nicholas Jackson. Jackson scored 20 goals in the 2013-14 campaign.

Former Philadelphia Phantoms star Barry Berrs has been locked up by the Cincinnati Cyclops. Having missed the playoffs by 6 points last season, Cincinnati is looking to take that final step back into playoff contention. 

Warren Drellam will call Reno, Nevada home for the next 4 years, after coming to an agreement with team general manager Anders Lundstrom on a contract. 

"He will be a key player in our drive for success", says Reno Riot coach Ray Adams. Having lost Darren Haydar and Nathaniel Klein this off-season, the Riot are going to rely on Drellam heavily.

With the departure of Ben Guite, the Utah Falcons are needing to shore up their blueline. They have done just that with new arrival James Wagner, who has been in the minor leagues for the past year since leaving Klamath Falls in 2015. 

The Puget Sound Snappers have announced the signing of defenseman Roger Gardner, who previously played with both Buffalo and Lake Superior. 

They have also added David Dustin to their team, who has experienced hockey in Stamford and Buffalo.

The Klamath Falls Wild Wings have announced the signing of AJ Kenneth, who will help their blueline tremendously.

The Buffalo Sabercats have announced the signing of defenseman Steven Olson.

Birmingham has added big, bruising defenseman Will Carlson to their roster.

Buffalo has added center Teddy Larkolts to their roster from free agency, replacing Andrew Hartnell who they could not negotiate a new contract with.

The Stamford Tigers have signed defenseman Anders Nacker to a 1 year contract. He last played with New Orleans in the 2014-15 season.

The Stamford Tigers have added goaltender David Ferrender to their roster as a free-agent signing. He will likely be Josh Bell's backup. He has not played since the 2012-13 season with Moose Jaw.

The New Orleans Sea Dragons have signed Michael McEddgarts to a 3 year contract for 2.1mil. He is kind of overpaid. 

The Missouri Jr Blues have signed Micheal Donnagen for 2 years, at 1.56 mil. 

The Utah Falcons have a goalie! It's Lenny Lovatte. Just signed for 4 years, at 1.98 mil.

There are very few goaltender free agents this year, highlighted by recently signed Jacques Jallie. 

Superstar goalie Jacques Jallie has signed, but not with his former team, he signed with the Lexington Thunder! Because of this both Mario Austem and Jordan Hallum have asked for a trade. They shared time equally last year. Prospect Stefan Roginard is up and coming this year, and he will likely be the backup if both Austem and Hallum are traded. This leaves the Sabercats in a bad situation for goaltending. They have traded for Joey McDanes, the goalie who they beat in the finals when he played for Redding in 2012. They have backup Brian Francis, but Francis has proved inconsistant and last time he had a starting job, (Redding Royals, 2013), he did not do well. They have prospect Cory Pekkman coming up. Pekkman had 11 starts in 2011/12, but hasn't played since. It could end up that McDanes and Francis share time equally as a tandem, and Pekkman is traded or plays another year in the USHL. Or McDanes could start and Francis might be the back up. Pekkman may take Francis's back up spot. Francis might be traded. There is definately goalie controversy in Buffalo. The Utah Falcons are extremely disapointed to not have gotten Jallie. They now must look to the lesser goalies in free agency, or trade for somebody. 

The Denver trout inked Carl Weise to a 5 year contract for 1.3mil. 

So far, as far as reports know, three teams have thrown in offers that elite goalie Jacques Jallie is considering. The Utah Falcons are one of the teams. The Anaheim Cougars will have him on their roster if he doesn't sign with a team by July 4th, due to a trade in 2011. The Missouri Jr Blues, and his former team, the Buffalo Sabercats are the other teams.

Dominic Vega, Dana Mullins, & Dustin Medina were signed by the Tigers, Lions, and Villains respectively.

Jacques Jallie has rejected being resigned by the Buffalo Sabercats, and he told reporters he's going to test Free-Agency. There are many teams interested.
