Bloomer Youth Baseball and Softball League Info

League placement is determined by players birth date.

Tee Ball, co-ed, PreK-K, $40.  Tee ball will be held one night each week in Bloomer.  All players will hit off of a batting tee throughout the season.  Emphasis will be on learning the rules of the game, good sportsmanship, basic fundamentals, and having fun.  League will run from late June until early August.

 

Boys Baseball

Rookie League, Sept 2012-Aug 2014, $45.  Play will be held two night per week in Bloomer.  Rookie baseball is a non-competitive and instructional league that utilizes a pitching machine for all participants.  Runs and outs will be recorded, but good sportsmanship, learning the rules, basic fundamentals and having fun will be stressed.  League will run from late June until early August.

Minor League, Sept 2010-Aug 2012, $55.  Minor League baseball is a semi-competitive, player pitch, league that participates with other local communities in the Chippewa Valley Baseball League (CVBL).  Some games will be held in other towns, and will have multiple games/practices each week.  In this league “normal” Little League baseball rules will apply with a few age specific modifications.  Continued emphasis on good sportsmanship, rules, developing skills and fun will persist.  League will run from early May through late June.

Major League, Sept 2008-Aug 2010, $60.  Major League baseball is a competitive, player pitch, league that participates with other local communities in the Chippewa Valley Baseball League (CVBL).  Some games will be held in other towns, and will have multiple games/practices each week.  Players will practice good sportsmanship, developing overall baseball skills, playing by the rules and having fun.  League will run from early May through late June.

Pony League, Sept 2006-Aug 2008, $85.  Pony League baseball is a competitive league that participates with other local communities in the Chippewa Valley Baseball League (CVBL).  Some games will be held in other towns.  Games are played on an intermediate sized diamond.  Development of players will become more position specific.  Of course good sportsmanship and having fun will be emphasized. League will run from late April through early July.

 

Girls Softball 

8U Jan 2012 - Dec 2013, $45. Play will be held two nights per week in Bloomer. 8U Softball is a non-competitive and instructional league that utilizes coaches pitching for all participants. Runs and outs will be recorded, but good sportsmanship, learning the rules, basic fundamentals and having fun will be stressed. Season will run from late June until early August.

10U Jan 2010 - Dec 2011, $55. 10U Girls softball is a semi-competitive, player/coach pitch, league that participates with other local communities in the Chippewa Valley Girls Fastpitch League (CVGFL).  Some games will be held in other towns, and will have multiple games/practices each week.  Continued emphasis on good sportsmanship, rules, developing skills and fun will persist.  League will run from early May through late June.

12U Jan 2008 - Dec 2009, $60  12U softball is a competitive, player pitch, league that participates with other local communities in the Chippewa Valley Girls Fastpitch League (CVGFL).  Some games will be held in other towns, and will have multiple games/practices each week. Players will practice good sportsmanship, developing overall baseball skills, playing by the rules and having fun.  League will run from early May through late June.

14U Jan 2006 - Dec 2007, $85  14U softball is a competitive league that participates with other local communities in the Chippewa Valley Girls Fastpitch League (CVGFL).  Some games will be held in other towns, and will have multiple games/practices each week.  Development of players will become more position specific.  Of course good sportsmanship and having fun will be emphasized.  League will run from early May through late June.

 

 Additional Information and Expectations

League Fees* help to cover:

1) Team shirts & hats (Note: TBall is shirt only)

2) Team Equipment (helmets, bats, catcher's gear, balls)

3) Umpire fees

4) League Liability Insurance

Other Expectations as set forth by the Bloomer Youth Ball Board of Directors:

1) Players should have their own pants, shoes, glove, fielding mask(softball) and water bottle.

2) Each player will be expected to sell at least two raffle books as an additional fundraiser. (fundraiser subjected to change)
