The Portage Cobras soccer team started back in 2008. That was the first year that the Cobras attended a tournament which was down in Carmen. At that time the kids were only 7 years old.
The following year in 2009 we took another team to a tournament in Brandon.That year we called the team The Green Allstars.
In 2010 we again made a team and attended about 3 tournaments. Again we called the team The Green Allstars.
The team was going strong and decided to enter a team in WYSA for the indoor season for 2010/2011. Season went very well and the team finished 2nd in league, 1st in the Cambrian Cup playoffs, and 1st in the Golden Boy Tournament.
In 2011 the Portage Cobras were reborn and had an amazing season. Out of 4 tournaments they finished 2nd in one, and 1st place in their last two to end the season.

We had the pleasure of having 12 of our players on the 2012 Manitoba Games soccer team. Connor Green, Daylen Green, Seth Bryson, Tyler Martens, Nathan Martens, Luke Foley, Layne Coltart, Jason Wiebe, Clayton Murray, Alex Friesen, Theo Bosc and Finley Wheeler.

Some notable accomplishments for a few players are as follows:

Daylen Green played in just over 100 games recording over 100 goals which works out to just over 1goal per game on average.

Connor Green played in over 100 games and recorded 25 shutouts.

Layne Coltart and Theo Bosc both played in just over 100 games.

2016 added in a men's team in the MMSL. Finished 4th overall.

2017 finished first in the 6th division and move up to div 5 for 2018
