University of Rhode Island - Kingston RI

Normal commuting times to the University of Rhode Island (URI) are 45 minutes from Providence, RI. However, on a nice weekend there can be considerable traffic going toward the beaches in the morning and from the beaches in the afternoon. Also, this year the Tall Ships are visiting Newport on the tournament weekend. Therefore, we suggest that you allow for this traffic by leaving an extra 40 minutes to get to the fields.

Directions from the Radisson Hotel Area in Warwick, Rhode Island to the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI

Merge onto Interstate 95 Southbound for five miles. Keep left to take RI Route 4 South via Exit 9 towards North Kingstown. Travel ten miles. Turn slight right onto Tower Hill Road, US Route 1 South. Travel three miles. Turn right onto Mooresfield Road, Rhode Island Route 138. Travel four miles to college entrance.

If you are staying in the Providence/Warwick areas to the North of the University of Rhode Island, we suggest taking Route 138 West and then turn right onto Route 2 North. Proceed 6.6 miles to a "T" intersection at the flashing light. Turn right and go 0.9 miles (under the overpass) and take the entrance to Route 4 North on your right.
