Rules of Conduct For Coaches

It is the purpose to conduct the best possible league from all aspects. To achieve this objective we must have the cooperation of each player, coach and parents. You are guests in this league and nothing should occur that would reflect adversely on your team, players, parents, league officials, umpires or yourself. Therefore, it is required that all teams comply with the following league rules:

Coaches must have full control of their players and parents at all times. This means “on” and “off” the field. If the parents are a problem during a game, they will be removed and the coach will be totally responsible.

In case of a disputed play or decision, one team coach may consult the umpire. The other players, coaches, and parents are to be kept out of the discussion.

Coaches are to report any unsportsmanlike or derogatory acts by players or spectators to a DYBA board member. The purpose here is to prevent any serious situation developing that would be harmful to the league or players.

A player, coach or parents may be suspended for fighting, abusive tactics or unbecoming acts that are detrimental and not in the best interest of the DYBA.

Be careful of your conduct. Be sure that no action occurs that could reflect adversely on your team or DYBA. Remember that the wrong actions of even one player can reflect upon your entire team.

Any report of destruction of property or abuse of property will be dealt with very sternly. Coaches will not be warned other than through this notice.

Absolutely no issues or complaints will be discussed with parents. If a parent has an issue they are to contact a DYBA board member. Make sure your parents understand this.
