Head Baseball Coach

Chris Matile

Entering his 19th season as a high school baseball coach, 13th as the head coach of the East Lincoln Mustangs.  Since taking over, the Mustangs have won 6 conference championships, 2 conference tournament championships and one 2A regional runner up.  Also spent time as an assistant coach at Brook Point High School and Forest Park High School and was the head coach at Freedom High School for 1 year before leaving to take the position at ELHS.  Coach Matile played college baseball for Potomac State Junior College and Concord University where he received a BS in Physical Education and Health.  Coach Matile resides in Denver with his wife Brenda and 3 kids, Abby, Evan and Tanner.

Assistant Coach

Dan Duckworth

Coach Duckworth has over 20 years of experience working with youth baseball of all ages in Lincoln County.  He is entering his 14th season as an assistant as East Lincoln High School.  Coach Duckworth works with our JV and Varsity pitchers and is also in charge of field maintenance.  He resides in Denver with his wife Patti.

Matt Gallagher

Coach Gallagher is entering his 8th season as an assitant coach for East Lincoln High School.  Coach Gallagher is also an assistant coach for the Mustang football team.  He works with our JV outfielders and resides in Denver with his wife Laura and two kids, Brendan and Brianna.

Assistant coach

Josh Robinson

Coach Robinson is entering his 5th season as assistant coach.  Coach Robinson also serves as an assistant coach for the Mustang football team.  He also spent time as an assistant football and baseball coach at Maiden High School.  He played college baseball for UNC Pembroke and Pfeiffer University.  Coach Robinson will work with our Varsity and JV catchers.  He resides in Maiden with his wife Trina and two kids, Macie and Maddox.
