October 22, 2011Top of 1st inning, Rex Hoyt, II (Jr) KO's 2 straight batters on 6 straight strikes after infield error and overthrow puts runner on third with one out vs. Victoria at Mira's 2nd Annual 18U Wood Bat Bash.


July 4, 2011
Game 4 Lamar University Showcase: Hoyt starting the game on the hump holding the 18 & 19 YO S. Houston Longhorns, undefeated in this Tourney, to 3 hits, 0 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.

After an error at SS put a runner on first to start the game, Rex KO'd the next two batters. With his time to the plate of 1.28 seconds, the first inning ended on a strike and an out from the runner caught stealing at second base.


March 3, 2011
Hoyt recorded his 1st win for the R-F varsity over G-P with: 5 2/3 IP, 3H, 7KO, 3R, 1ER.

It was a clutch 4-3 win after the Pirates had lost to same G-P team and the same G-P pitcher the week before 6-2 and this win pushed the Pirates record to 4-3:

July 4, 2011In Game 4, the final game of the Lamar University Showcase Tourney, Hoyt's double in the left centerfield gap plated the go ahead run against the S. Houston Longhorns.


July 3, 2011In Game 2 Hoyt's first at bat in Lamar University's beautiful ballpark was a solid line drive single to left field against a Houston Class 5A Cedar Park High School team and their starting pitcher.

March 18, 2011Rex Hoyt, II (Soph) 1st Varsity hit was a 360' double off the LCF fence with his 1st Varsity RBI scoring a runner on first base in a District game that Rex also earned his 1st Varsity Save from the mound:
