Who Are We?
- We are the Western Howard County Youth Baseball/Softball League.
- We, along with our parent-volunteer partners, aspire to provide children with the opportunity to have positive baseball and softball experiences.
- We strive to be the preferred youth sports program in Howard County.
- We offer baseball and softball in the spring, summer, and fall.
- We emphasize core values such as self-esteem, teamwork, fairness, fun and sportsmanship to all our players while learning the rules of the game.
- We are based at Western Regional Park in Woodbine, MD. We think this is the nicest park in the county.
- We are not limited to geographical boundaries.
- We have contracted with Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks to provide administrative services and management assistance.
- We provide financial assistance to Howard County residents who qualify.
- We are an all-volunteer organization.
- We rely on sponsorships and registration fees to provide equipment and fields.
- We are associated with the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association and Baltimore - Metro Baseball travel baseball leagues.
- We create teams based on factors such as family preferences, school friendships, and geography; not a draft.
