Concessions- Clean Bathrooms- Collect Garbage

Youth baseball and softball families:

As most of you know, Farmington ballpark is owned, run and maintained by volunteer efforts alone.  Our concession stand plays a huge part in raising funds to make facility improvements, purchase uniforms & equipment, and maintain the fields.

In an effort to “share the load”, we ask every family to work at least (1) home game in the concession stand.  If you have more than one child playing, we ask that your family works (1) home game for EACH child playing.  Our easy Sign-Up Genius program allows families to CHOOSE the most convenient nights for their busy schedule.  If working in the concession stand will not work for your family, there are also choices to sign-up for dumping park garbage cans into the dumpster (one time for the week you sign up) or cleaning bathrooms (one time for the week you sign up).

**For safety reasons, we do not allow children in the concession stand**

Go to Sign-Up Genius and choose your night(s) to work.  Once all the “open” slots for a given home game are filled, you must choose a different night.  The site will also send an email reminder to you two days before the work date you signed up for!  The link is found on the Farmington website www.farmingtonbaseballua.com  or click here to go directly to our Sign-Up Genius site https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054daca72fa57-farmington2

Please ask about “service credit” opportunities for high school students for school, church, 4-H, etc.!

If you are new to Farmington ballpark – never fear!  For the most part, there is always a “veteran” around to help out.  Kari, Jamie and Tanya are more than willing to take anyone on a concession stand tour!!  All coaches have keys and will open the stand, bathrooms & turn “on” the water.  When our work schedules allow, Kari, Jamie or Tanya try to help open up and get folks started.  Washing nescos and wiping up after the game is probably the most important part so plan on stay a little after the game on your scheduled home game.

HELP OUT!

·       online sign-up for (1) night of concession stand duty per child playing (expectation for every family unless doing garbage or bathrooms)

·       online sign-up for dumping all park garbage cans into the dumpster (one time per the week you signed up for)

·       online sign-up for cleaning the bathrooms (one time per the week you signed up for)

·       online donation – if you absolutely cannot work in the stand, help with garbage cans, or bathrooms, this is a way to alleviate all that guilt you must be feeling – donate $$!!

·       donate ketchup (medium sized bottles, any brand) or ask Kari or I about other concession stand items needed

·       donate kitchen hand towels & dishrags

·       donated pens, sharpies, scissors, gallon Ziploc bags, Clorox-type wipes

·       pick up litter/trash while your child has practice (put down the book, stop playing with your phone – check the playground, under bleachers, around the batting cage, water the planters while you wander!)

If you don’t work in the stand….how will it run??  If you don’t clean the bathrooms…..who will??

We rely on everyone help to make the concessions stand run smoothly.  We hope that by allowing families to pick their own dates, we will have 100% participation.  We are truly trying to avoid assigning dates or charging an extra fee to those who do not contribute.  Thank you for your support of the Farmington ballpark!
