Field The Knoxville Opening Day Festival in 2023 will be a 2 day event and will begin this year on Friday May 19 at our field. We will start on Friday at 6pm. We will Introduce all players in our league, Give away FREE Hotdogs and Lemonade to everyone in attendance, then play a game of kick ball between the parents and kids. We’re hoping for a full night of fun as a thank you for participating in the Knoxville League.
On Saturday, We will have a full day of games.
Here is the schedule for the day:
9:00am Magic vs Pleasant Hill Reds
11:00am Mustangs vs Dillonvale Indians
1:30 pm Stallions vs Smithfield Angels
4:00pm Stampede vs Hopedale Tornadoes
6:30 pm Renegades vs Hopedale Lightning
We understand that everyone has a life outside the ball field, but so does everyone. Each team needs to have at least 2 coaches work the hot food table. Coaches needs to plan to work the concessions by the following schedule. You only have to work the concessions at our games 1 time per year. Please make plans to stay and do this. Everyone needs to participate. Teams who do not help out will lose practice time :
a) During the Magic game at 9:00...Renegades Coaches will work
b) During the Mustangs Game at 11:00...Magic Coaches Work
c) During the Stallions Game at 1:30… Mustangs Coaches will work
d) During the Stampede Game at 4:00 ...Stallions Coaches will work
e) During the Renegades Game at 6:30 pm…. Stampede Coaches will work
Absolutely NO Kids are permitted to work the concessions or be in the concession stand DURING WORK TIMES. Keep the Chaos to a minimum. This is a major fundraiser for our league as the concession will be open as well as hot foods served all day.
1) Each Player is asked to bring something for the opening day. Put the Team name on each item and bring them to the field During a practice or game. Please bring the items that are requested. This helps us to be able to save on purchasing these items and allows us to keep our signup fees low.
Magic-- 24 pak of Mt Dew
Mustangs-- 24 Pak of Dr Pepper
Stallions-- 24 Pak of Pepsi
Stampede-- 24 Pak of Coke
Renegades-- 24 Pak of Sprite
2) We need people who are responsible for making at least 1 roaster of hot food items. These items should be brought to the field on Saturday Morning. Bring the Receipts for your ingredients and the league will reimburse the expense. If you would like to make something, contact Terry Lynne at 740-632-1685 to see what we need.
