Evergreen Little League Safety Protocols for 2021 Season

 Safety Protocols for 2021 Season

  • Only the players, coaches, umpires, team parent (pitch counter/official scorekeeper) will be allowed into the playing area (which includes the bleachers)

  • Also we will need to abide by the rules of the school district or League that we are playing with (if we are the away team)

  • All other parents must sit by the outfield fence area (or along the 3rd and 1st base line at other locations)

  • All families must be at least 6 feet apart from each other and wear masks (No exceptions)

  • We will have kids socially distanced and masked when in the dugout

    • Depending on the dugout this may be 3-4 kids with the others spread out behind the dugout or in the bleacher area

  • All coaches will be supplied with hand sanitizer

  • We will also have extra cloth masks available to give to coaches in case a player has damaged one, or accidentally misplaced it

  • Players must have their beverage and snack with them in their bag before any game

    • When a player wants to take a break and get a drink or snack, they must do so 6 feet away from any other player or coach

  • In many cases, parents won’t be allowed to bring snacks or drinks to their kids once the game has started

  • We will also not be doing team snacks this year

  • Considering most of our games will be at away fields (Eastridge, East Hills, etc.) our snack shacks will be closed

    • However, there is a possibility that either Leyva or Quimby Snack Shack may be open prior to the season ending.

    • If this occurs we will update all families on procedures for the Snack Shacks

  • Players are discouraged from sharing bats, gloves, helmets, etc.

    • If needed we can provide helmets (or other equipment) for kids in need

    • Catchers – If a coach has 1-2 catchers, they should first check if that catcher has their own equipment, if not then let one of the catchers keep the catchers gear to bring with them for the season the other catcher can use the other set and keep with them for the season
