Dear Soccer Players and Parents:
One of the traditions of the HHS Boys Soccer Program is the annual program book, an informational booklet for the season and a permanent keepsake for the boys to have of their 2018 Hingham High Soccer Season. Within the pages of the program book are advertisements from families and local merchants which help with the fundraising aspect of the project, team rosters and photos, game photos, candid pictures, messages from the coaches, senior bios and more!
We need your help to fill the pages. Please consider supporting the program book by buying a family ad with a picture and message to your son or the team, placing an ad for your business, service or company, reaching out to someone you know to purchase an advertisement, and/or approaching a local business to place an ad. The program book will be distributed to all our soccer families, so it will receive quite a bit of exposure to local consumers. Business advertisements placed in this book WILL be seen and the support will be greatly appreciated.
We have attached two order forms: one for the family ads, and one for the business ads. Please use the appropriate form when submitting your own ad and when reaching out to businesses for ads, as the price structure is different. This year, because we have had such tremendous success with our early fundraising efforts, including the car wash and the pop-up store, **we have reduced the price of the family ads to thank you for your support.** We are hopeful that the reduced cost will also enable and encourage more families to place an ad highlighting their player(s); the boys really do appreciate seeing their photos and the special messages from their families.
The program book is intended as a memento for all players to enjoy, not just seniors! Proceeds from ad sales will be used primarily to defray the cost of the program book and to fund our end of season banquet.
The deadline for ads is October 15. If you would like to submit a family ad with a player photo, please consider using one of the professional photos taken by Maryellen Jones, who produces the program book for our program. Maryellen generally attends at least one home game for each team and posts the photos on her website (www.mjdesignstudio.net - we will send a direct link to the soccer team page as soon as Maryellen has posted photos). There is no cost to use one of her photos in your family ad, and she will design the ad for you using your selected photo and a message of your choosing. Additionally, many parents have kindly shared their photos on the team Shutterfly site, and any of these photos can selected for your family ad: https://hinghamhighschoolboyssoccer.shutterfly.com. You may also submit your own photo, or ask us to take one for you. If you will need us to take a picture of your son, please return the form as soon as possible to ensure there is time to capture them in action on the field.
