playing LOYL lacrosse, each Spring all LOYL coaches and volunteers are required
to agree to the adopted Code of Conduct policies.

PLAYER CONCUSSION POLICY
To maximize the safety of all youth lacrosse players, the following concussion policy is adopted (April 2011) by LOYL Program for all youth lacrosse players participating and competing in program practices, games and tournaments. This policy covers both LOYL youth players and other program youth players participating in LOYL program events.
· If youth lacrosse player concussion occurs, or is suspected by LOYL coaches of having occurred, at a practice, game or tournament, player will be removed from field immediately.· LOYL coach shall inform youth lacrosse player parent(s) as soon as possible.
· Evaluation of youth player by health care professional experienced in evaluation for concussion is required.
· Youth lacrosse player will be allowed to return to playing field with: (i) written approval from health care professional and (ii) meeting of LOYL coach with at least one parent of player.

OYLA Lacrosse rules
For Spring 2014 Season, the Board of Oregon Youth Lacrosse Association (OYLA) for Boys youth lacrosse, of which LOYL is a member, has decided to adopt US Lacrosse Youth rules, excluding the age (e.g. U15, U13, U11, U9) program basis. So for this Spring, Boys youth programs will continue to be organized based upon grade level (e.g. 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8).
