The DSM .45s Baseball Club Hall of Fame (2007-2015)

These are the players who have made this organization possible with their contributions on and off the field.  There are many great players/ teammates who didn't make this list.  Every person involved since 2007 has done their part to make the .45s a long-term success.

Kikie Bernstine (OF) - Ellsworth CC - Kikie is the son of former minor league baseball player Pookie Bernstine and the nephew of former NFL Running Back/ TE Rod Bernstine.  He is a football legend at DM Lincoln HS and played baseball and football at Ellsworth CC.  He hit .300 in his lone collegiate season and was an absolute force for the .45s beginning in 2010, leading us to multiple outright championships.  Kikie is possibly the most talented player ever to play for the .45s.  And his staggering numbers back it up.  He has the highest career average in the history of the team at .525 with a .673 OBP.

Miko Bernstine (OF) - Marshalltown CC - Miko is Kikie's younger brother and was an immense talent in his own right with a power bat and smooth OF actions with an accurate throwing arm.  Miko was developing rapidly through HS at Lincoln and that continued when he got to Marshalltown CC.  Through hard work and continued cultivation of his talent Miko went on to earn a D-1 baseball scholarship to Texas Southern University, an HBCU in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.  After joining the squad in 2010, Miko blasted 5 HR's and destroyed the semi-pro baseball circuit, leading the .45s to a 17-2 finish.

Jason Cromer (P) - TB Rays and KC Royals Org.: Drafted in the 11th Round of the 1999 MLB Draft by the TB Rays, Jason is one of the best Pitchers the State of Iowa has ever produced, and it's indisputable.  Jason and his twin brother Nathan (Picked in 10th Round of 1999 Draft) are one of two sets of twins ever drafted by the same MLB organization.  Both brothers were stars at DM Lincoln and originally committed to Wichita State before being drafted out of HS.  Jason had an awesome 13 year professional career where he pitched to a career 3.93 ERA in over 1100 career IP and surrendered a paltry 338 walks.  Crome came up with many MLB stars like Josh Hamilton, BJ Upton, Jonny Gomes, Rocco Baldelli and Carl Crawford.  Pitching in an absolutely loaded Rays system is the only thing that kept Crome from the Bigs.  He was a fun and humble .45s teammate.  In 2012 Jason pitched to a 0.46 ERA in 39 IP with 64 K's and just 3 BB's, and hit .348 leading us to an undefeated season.
