Mulch Delivery

Hi Everyone - we need to get some volunteers (drivers and those who can help unload and load) to help deliver mulch this weekend starting at 9am. The last delivery will be at 6. The team will receive $1 for every bag that is delivered. Coach Cheri will be at the school to help with delivery as well in the morning.

If you can only do this for a few hours, that is great... any help is appreciated.

Please respond back ONLY if you can help delivery so I can let the coordinator know who is setting this up for the school.

Suggestions:

Need to be able to haul mulch. If you have car - I would suggest to have something to lay down over the seats or in the truck as the mulch can be wet.

You will travel in the Hilliard School District. Make sure you have gas:)

If you have a van, truck or something that can haul a lot, this would be awesome  (less trips back to the school).

We have first pick of the mulch our team sold along with the gift cards. (See below for this info)

  • Deliveries will begin each day, Saturday April 11th and Sunday April 12th, at 9:00am.
  • Mulch will be staged and loaded out of the visitors parking lot - south side of the stadium.
  • The visitor concession stand will be used as the Service Center - orders will be assigned and closed out at this location.

Please respond back ONLY if you can help delivery so I can let the coordinator know who is setting this up for the school.

Subject: 2015 Hilliard Bradley Athletic Booster Association Mulch Sale - Final Sales Results / Delivery Coordinating Instructions

WE ARE BRADLEY!

Mr. Ryan - please pass along to your coaches.

Trustees - please pass along to your team parents and points of contact.

WELL DONE!  Sales are over, sales are closed!  I can't tell you enough how well the Mulch Sale ended up...I know, at the beginning of last week it was looking a little bleak - we only had 1800 bags sold and the weather was not helping out at all.  But, last week we saw quite a surge of sales and we ended up with right around 7100 bags sold and an additional 88 gift cards.  We are finishing up the final tally of each team's sales.  As stated numerous times, your team will receive $1 for each bag sold - the proceeds will be transferred into your respective team Booster Designated Fund.  Now its time to shift attention to delivery.  We've said it before, I'll reiterate here - your team will receive and additional $1 for each bag delivered with the first right of delivery going to the team selling.

Below are some coordinating instructions for the upcoming delivery weekend:
  • Deliveries will begin each day, Saturday April 11th and Sunday April 12th, at 9:00am.
  • Mulch will be staged and loaded out of the visitors parking lot - south side of the stadium.
  • The visitor concession stand will be used as the Service Center - orders will be assigned and closed out at this location.
  • According to the Athletic Department calendar, the only teams with games scheduled are:
    • JV Softball (away)
    • Girls Lacrosse (away)
    • Boys Lacrosse (away)
  • The Lacrosse sales (boys and girls) will be set aside for Sunday delivery by the lacrosse team; likewise, a portion of the Softball sales may be set aside for Sunday delivery - Softball, please keep us updated a the Service Center throughout Saturday if you need a portion of your sales set aside for Sunday..
  • As stated numerous times and reiterated herein, the team selling has first right to delivery; however, this weekend is the only weekend we have scheduled.  The primary delivery day is Saturday, April 11th with Sunday, April 12th for the remainder.  On Saturday, April 11th, the last delivery will go out no later than 6pm.  Last year some of us were there until well after dark - this becomes a safety issue from many perspectives - limited light, fatigue, limited sight, trip hazards, etc.  We'll pick up the rest Sunday, April 12th beginning at 9:00am.
  • After making a delivery, please provide a closing report at the Service Center.
  • SUGGESTION: a few times over past deliveries, loads of mulch have been delivered to incorrect locations - simple, honest mistakes - we're human, it happens.  Additionally, we have had a few instances of some buyers claiming they never received their orders.  We all have mobile devices.  After you make a delivery, pop a quick photo so you have a record.  99% of the time you won't even need the photo - its that 1% that will get you.
  • Please bring some water - some for you and some for others.  We'll have ice available to keep it cool.
We're looking at the best way to deliver the gift cards - some will be delivered Saturday or Sunday in conjunction with a bagged mulch delivery.  Some will be handed to the seller for disposition, some will be mailed.  The bottomline is that the gift cards will be available Saturday and Sunday along with the bagged mulch.

Let's keep these deliveries simple and efficient...please keep it civil - we're all there for the same reason.  We like receiving constructive comments, but please, let's keep them until after the event.  Thanks again for all the hard work and the positive results.  Bring your work gloves, sturdy shoes, and eye protection - see you Saturday and Sunday!

GO JAGS!
