This area will be available to assist everyone with questions they may have in participating with OMYA Cheerleading, within Anne Arundel County. 

·     How can I register my child and how much does it cost?

There are numerous ways to register your child.  The easiest way is to submit your registration online, under 2017 REGISTRATION.  Once you complete your registration, your child will be added to his/her squad’s roster and you will start to receive information as the season approaches. 

     ·     When does your season start and end?     

Our season lasts as long as our football season lasts.  Football players begin the first week of August.  Our girls will start within a week of that time and will ontinue until the last OMYA football teams have completed their seasons.  Teams who make it in to Play-off's go in to November.  Teams who make it in to a Championship bracket play until mid-to late November.   OMYA Patriots Cheerleaders will support and cheer for any and all teams who make it in to Play-offs schedules and may further go in to a Championship bracket schedule.  The OMYA Cheer Director and Coaches will be informed by the OMYA Athletic Director, which teams may have the season records that earn them these additional game schedules.  We will notify parents as soon as we are informed.  All game schedules are planned through AACO Recreation & Parks.  OMYA has no ability or authority to schedule games or in any way change games.

·     Which squads will you have in 2019?

In years past we have had a minimum of 4 squads (6U, 8U, 10U, and 14U).  For the 2019 season our goal is to have 5 squads.  As registrations are received and placements are made, we will have a better idea of exactly how many girls we will have!

·      Do you offer Scholarships?

OMYA is a Non-Profit organization which is solely funded through our Registration, concessions, and fundraising efforts.  We make every possible attempt to work with our Community for children who may be at a disadvantage or hardship financially.  Please visit our OMYA Policies Section for detailed information on Scholarships.  If you meet the criteria mentioned, please contact Jenn Ballard at omyasecretary@yahoo.com.

·     Do you offer payment plans towards Registration costs?

YES!  We accept payments towards the full amount, however all payments must be made in full, prior to the first day of practices.  Unfortunately, Cheerleaders may not be permitted to begin practices, until balances are paid or arrangements have been made.

·     Where are games played?

Our home field is Randazzo Park - 580 Upton Road.  However, games are scheduled for both home and away so there will be some travel to local fields throughout our season.

·     How many days per week do you practice? 
All squads practice Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 8pm.  12U & 14U Squads may practice one additional night, if the Coaches determine there is a need.  In addition, there may be additional practice time scheduled while each squad prepares for any Homecoming performance.
