Here are the three drills you can do to reinforce keeping your hands back.  Please remember, when using the small medicine ball, it's not about how far you can throw it (you will see in the video what happens).  THis is about the "feel" of your hands staying back until foot plant.  When doing these drills you must try and keep the good lower body form you have worked so hard to get.

Watch the videos, I have made comments.  I do have to point out when you kept your hands back and had good lower body technique - you hit the ball harder than ever since I have been working with you.  Don't get frustrated - you have come a long way in a short time!

November 6, 2016 - Progression from Oct 2nd to Nov 6th

Braden, you really have come far over the past month!  Take a look at the video below and you will see a HUGE difference from a month ago to now.  I think we can begin to focus more on the hips and abdomen - but will still continue to work on the lower half - just not as the primary focus.  GOOD JOB!

October 2, 2016 - Back Foot

Sorry for the quality - using a different video analysis provider while my other one is fixing their "issue". Best if you view this video in full screen.

Here is the follow-up to Sunday's session.  Geat job with the back foot.  You can really tell when your back foot and leg come forward you hit the ball with more power because now you are beginning to use your hips and torso instead of just your upper body.  Plus you're getting much more rotation as you will see. Keep working on it - you are so close! If you have any questions - please contact me.

Sept 27, 2016 - For Next Session

Hey Braden,

For our next session we will work a bit more on your stride and the movement of your back foot forward.  Below is an example of another player I worked with who also was keeping his foot back and not moving forward.  As you can see - he broke that habit and got to the point he was moving the back foot forward.  This allows you to "unload" your hips stronger and faster (so more power!).  We will be placing a baseball on the ground as a visual guide so you can have a reference point of where your back foot needs to be at contact.

Sept 11, 2016 - Stride & Not Raising Up On Load

Sorry, the second half of the video has some "noise".  I hope it's not too distracting.

Sept 4th, 2016 - Initial Stride Work

Working on your stride - to move forward.
