Great Relief/Excellent Start
Division: Baseball Minors Field: LeyVa B
The Minor Red Sox were playing their 2nd consecutive playoff elimination game against the Marlins. Just 24 hours earlier against the White Sox, the Red Sox 2nd baseman Tejas Mani inherited a based loaded 1 out jam and pitched shutout ball for 1 2/3 innings. With the Red Sox fighting to stave off another elimination game, Tejas answered the bell with an excellent start. With a solid defense playing behind him turning 2 double plays in the first 2 innings, Tejas pitched shutout ball for 4 innings needing only 48 pitches. He got through a diffcult 5th inning conceding 2 runs and exited the game having thrown 75 pitches with 6 strikeouts. Elias Galey relieved Tejas and saved the 6-2 win for the Red Sox and move them one win shy of the Championship game!
