4 Girls Named to RHS National Honor Society

Lauren Coffey, Grace Moore, Brooke Nicander and Sarah Rosenblum were inducted into the Radnor High School National Honor Society.  This is the 2nd year in a row four girls from the Softball team were inducted as they joined Amanda Davis, Lila Howard, Cassie Maz and Megan McGrath.  Here is a link to the article and pictures.  Congrats to these scholar-athletes!

Megan McGrath Commits to Smith College!

Radnor Qualifies for District 1 AAA Playoffs!

Radnor has qualified for the District Playoffs for the 8th year in a row!  In the PIAA District 1 AAA playoffs, Radnor is the #8 seed and will host Chichester on Wednesday, May 25, at 4 pm.  This will be the 4th year in a row Radnor has played Chichester in the District Playoffs.  The winner will travel to Villa to play top seeded and defending champion Villa Maria on Friday, May 27, at 4 pm.  Please see the Brackets here for the AAA playoffs.

Radnor Fights Valiantly, But Season Ends in Loss to Villa

With senior co-captain and back up pitcher Amanda Davis leading the way on the mound, Radnor battled top seeded Villa Maria through four scoreless innings on Friday.  However, Villa pulled away late to win 10-0 and end Radnor's season in the District Quarterfinals.  Radnor won a District playoff game for the third year in a row.  For an article on the game, click here.

Holly Pachella Walks on at West Chester University!

Holly Pachella walked onto the West Chester University varsity softball team, surviving the fall tryouts.  Congratulations Holly and good luck this Spring!  West Chester is a strong Division II program, and local so we should be able to get out and see Holly play some softball!

Interesting note for the spring of 2016:

Christy Von Pusch, RHS 2012, is a Senior and ready for her fourth year on the Penn State University softball team!  Penn State is a Division I program in the Big Ten, and recruits nationally for its players.

Ali Birtwistle, RHS 2013, is currently a junior on the club team at the University of Delaware, having made the team as a freshman.  Delaware has played in the NCAA club championships the last two years.

Izzy Schaefer, RHS 2014, will start her 2nd year as a pitcher for the F&M Diplomats, a Division III program in the Centennial Conference.

Radnor Pours It On to Defeat Chichester 13-3 in AAA Playoffs

Radnor broke open a tight game in the 5th inning with 5 runs, and ended the game in the 6th inning with another 5 runs to defeat Chichester 13-3.  Brooke Nicander pitched a complete game and picked up her third career district playoff win.  For a complete article on the game, click here.  And for a nice video interview post game, click here.  And visit our Game Results to see our box score of the big win.
