- La Onda beat the Toros 5-1 on Saturday behind Jerit Coleman, who went 3-3 at the plate.
- Joey Zrinzo's seven strikeouts helped La Onda to the victory. Joey Zrinzo allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over eight innings.
- Andrew Vaca was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted 5 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
- La Onda didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the third inning when it scored on a groundout by Pac Gutierrez.
- La Onda built upon its lead with four runs in the sixth. A single by Mikey Robertson ignited the offense,, bringing home Gutierrez. That was followed up by Coleman's single, plating Robertson.
- The win pushes La Onda into sole possession of 1st place as they head into their bye week. They'll face off against a Tribe team that looks to regain its spot atop the LASA Saturday standings.
