  • Oscar Rodarte Leads The Rays To 12-6 Victory

  • Oscar Rodarte powered the Rays at the plate and on the hill Saturday, willing the Rays to a 12-6 victory over Tribe. 
  • Rodarte went a perfect 1-1 at the dish for the Rays. He homered in the seventh inning. 
  • Rodarte kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine Tribe batters. Rodarte allowed four earned runs on six hits and three walks over seven innings. 
  • The Rays sealed the win with six runs in the fourth. The Rays scored in the fourth on a groundout by Josh Carrasco, a two-run single by Andres Velarde, and a three-run home run by Tyler Madrid
  • The Rays hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for the Rays came when Rodarte homered in the seventh inning and Chris Vega homered in the seventh inning. Rodarte increases his homerun season total to 4 which leads the league. 
  • David Dinh couldn't get it done on the bump for Tribe, taking a loss. He lasted 3 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed five runs. 
  • The top of the third saw the Tribe take an early lead, 3-0. A two-run home run by Oscar Leon, bringing home Luis Rodriguez started the inning off. Tribe then tacked on more runs when Mario Rodarte scored on an RBI double by Ernie Cabral.
