Playing for the San Gabriel Valley Seals
The SGV Seals are a youth soccer club based in the San Gabriel Valley that currently competes in the Villa Park Youth Soccer League in Pasadena, CA. We are a club that offers high level training and coaching for 6-9 months of the year, without ever having to leave the San Gabriel Valley at a reasonable cost.
When is the season?
Spring Season
We currently compete in 3 separate seasons throughout the year. Spring Season is our primary season and is the longest season. The games are 11v11 and all the games take place in Pasadena. All the games are on Saturdays between 8am and 3pm. Practices for the spring season start in February, and the games run from March thru July. Practices during the spring are generally on Monday and Wednesdays for the 3rd division (U14) and 4th division (U12) teams, on Tuesdays and Thursday for the 5th division teams, and only Tuesdays for the 6th division (U8) team. All practices are from 5-6:30pm. All the practices are outdoors and are in Duarte, Monrovia or Temple City. Registration for the spring season takes place in November – January.
Fall Outdoor 7 v 7
The 7v7 fall outdoor league runs form September through November, with all the games on a weeknight between 6pm and 9:00pm, one game each week. The younger age groups (6th division) usually play the earlier games. We generally do not practice in the fall, only play games. Registration for fall outdoor takes place August – September.
Fall Indoor
The Fall Indoor sessions are on Friday nights in the First Baptist Church of Temple City. Children play futsal games for an hour every Friday night. There are lots of touches and it is a whole lot of fun! There are not set teams and not league tables. We pick teams and we play! Registration for the indoor season takes place August – September.
Registration
Registration takes place on two levels for the Seals. Each player must first register with the Villa Parke Youth Soccer League at the Villa Parke Community Center in Pasadena, CA. (Indoor registration is with the Seals only) After registering with the league each player must then register with the San Gabriel Valley Seals. League Registration
The league registration covers the costs for Pasadena Parks and Rec. The costs of league registration are as follows:

- Early Bird Registration $65 per player
- Regular Registration $85 per player

Seals Registration
The Seals registration costs cover: practice field lease, uniforms, insurance, training gear package, website fees, equipment, ref fees, and coaching fee. All of the Seals Registration fees can be made in 5 even monthly instalments starting in February.
The costs of Seals Registration is as follows:

- Made in 5 monthly installment payments of $82 per month

Tournaments
There are tournaments that are possible to participate in as a team, but that will be considered as a group and it is not mandatory. If the group would also like to travel out of the area or even out of state to participate in a tournament, that is an idea that the group can consider. Any tournament participation will incur more costs for travel and accommodations, and tournament fees.
