The Spring City American Legion, Inc. secured funds through a PA State
grant to partially fund the complete renovation of the infield turf and
dirt of the infield at Spring-Ford High School's Ram Stadium.
This is just the latest of over $600,000 worth of projects completed
by the Spring City American Legion Baseball, Inc.
The organization contracted Hummer Turfgrass Systems to complete the project.
The following was completed in November 2010:
- Remove all aging and problematic grass and dirt
- Level playing field
- Re-sod the interior infield
- Replace baselines with sod
- Replace home plate area with clay
- Replace pitchers mound area with clay
- Replace all sod outside infield area to warning track
