To help you better understand VA Havoc, the following are the most Frequently Asked Questions concerning playing for VA HAVOC. Answers to more specific and detailed questions are handled by each team's coach. 

Why VA Havoc?

VA Havoc is a Metro RVA based basketball organization that believes in the talent in the Metro RVA area. We are the fastest growing travel basketball program in the RVA. We are AAU D1 program. We have AAU nationally scouted players in our program.


How do I play for a VA Havoc team?
Formal tryouts are conducted for each grade category. Tryouts from 2nd to 8th grade are held in November/December. Tryouts for grades 9th -11th are generally held at the end of February or the beginning of March.

How long is the season?
In general, the 2nd through 8th grade season runs November through July and the 9th through 11th grade seasons runs from the end of February to the end of July. The season length is determined by each teams Coach. 

How much does it cost to play for VA Havoc?
Fees are determined by each team and coach. Things to factor are the number of tournaments played, uniforms, shooting shirts, practice space rental, AAU membership, etc. 

Do the players wear uniforms?
Yes.   

What type of schedule does a VA Havoc team play?
The schedule is determined by each teams coach. In general, the 2nd to 8th grade teams play and travel regionally (Virginia, DC, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Maryland). The 9th to 11th grade teams travel nationally. Specifically, the 15 and 16 age group teams play and travel on a Showcase Tournament schedule determined by the coach.  

How many games are played at a given tournament?
There is no hard and set rule, but in general, teams will play two or three games.

How many practice days per week are there?
There is no hard and set rule when it comes to practice, but normally 2nd to 8th grade teams will practice twice a week. The 9th -11th grade teams may practice three times a week.
