Knights-Schooners split season opening pair

June 5, 2022 – 09:49 PM

In a couple of great games to open the 2022 Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League Season Sunday afternoon June 5 at Tremaine Crescent in Windsor, the Sherose Island Schooners and Windsor Knights split a pair of games.  In the opening game, Ty Ross's critical error for the Schooners in the Bottom of the 6th inning allowed the Knights to rally for four runs and win 7-3.  Tritt Reed and Stefan Newell pitched in relief for the Schooners.

The Knights rally began with base-hits from Nate Bezanson and pinch-hitter Ryan MacLean who later advanced on a throwing error by the Schooners catcher.  It was one of three errors by the Schooners in the 6th inning.  The Knights entered the sixth inning trailing 4-3 and won sending ten players to bat.  Elliot Dickson-Green pitched in relief for the Knights replacing starter Jason Hanes.

If you don't update your stats they will not be displayed, this means pitching stats also.

Don't forget that reaching base on an error is NOT a base hit that's an ROE in your score book and

there is room for that here on the site when you entry your stats.
