Rays 10 - Pirates 1
The Rays pounded out 12 hits led by Elvis Lopez (3b,2b 3 RBI) and Dylan Hansen (1b,HR, 2RBI). Rob Frank tossed 4 inn for the win k'ing 6 allowing one hit, while Curt Arsi and Nick Romito spun 3 shutout innings. Jon Menge had 2 hits while Lou Cautero, Anthony Sanjo and Joe Zembryski all had RBI base hits helping the cause. Tom Natoli ripped an RBI double and a single for the Bucs.

Troast 5 - Mets 2
Hackensack came away with a soggy 5-2 victory on the Met League's Opening night in Paramus over host Bergen Mets. Jake Lutz and rookie Nico Bradley had 2 RBI each for the Troast Club. Justin Grippo vultured the win on the mound with a scoreless inning of relief. Jesse Baiza ended the game snagging a scorched line drive headed for the gap off the Met's cleanup hitter Andrew Montalvo, who was the trying run at the plate in the bottom of the 7th. Mets' Max Cue reached base in all three of his plate appearances with a basehit and two walks.
